Grab a paintbrush and get ready for a fun, relaxed painting experience where you’ll sit opposite your chosen person and paint them, while they paint you!
And don’t worry if you’re not artistic. This is designed to be completely beginner friendly, with step-by-step guidance throughout. Your portraits don’t need to be perfect, they’re supposed to be yours.
Whether it’s your date, best mate, mum, daughter, sister, partner or someone else you love, come along, have a drink, have a laugh and create something you can take home.

Materials Provided
- 🖼️ Canvas - your own canvas to paint on and take home (canvas prepped with outline of head and neck shape to make it easier for you!)
- 🎨 Acrylic paints - a selection of colours to create your portrait
- 🖌️ Paintbrushes - different sizes for details and larger areas
- 🧑🎨 Easels - your canvas set up ready for painting
- 🥄 Palette - for mixing and blending your colours
- 💧 Water pots - for cleaning your brushes
- 🧻 Paper towels - for keeping everything tidy
- 👕 Apron/protective covering - to protect your clothes
- 📝 Step-by-step guidance - I’ll talk you through the painting process from start to finish
What to bring
- If you’re coming alone, bring a photo print out of your person that you want to paint.
- Coming as a couple? Just turn up!
Cancellation
Due to the preparation and materials required for each workshop, cancellations can be made up to 72 hours before the event for a full refund.
Cancellations made within 72 hours of the workshop are non-refundable, as materials and preparation will already have been arranged.
If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to transfer your place to someone else. Please let me know in advance so I can update the booking details.
In the unlikely event that the workshop needs to be cancelled by Sophie Wells Art, you will be offered a date for a different workshop or receive a full refund.
